PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Relevant Power Solutions (RPS) was ready to launch the new 45 Mega-Watt mobile gas turbine generator but needed a place to test it first. BEGA worked with RPS and its on-staff engineers to design and build the nearly 1 acre pad for testing of up to two units which is strategically located near Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, TX. The Test Pad features a below ground cable tray that transitions to an above ground cable tray to distribute the excess energy to a one of a kind load bank. Once tested, the unit will be disassembled into three sections and transported to their next destination.

This Test Pad is a Design-Build which had a requirement to design, permit, build and complete the project in 4 months…mission accomplished.
